During that time she studied Luigi jazz technique under a variety of teachers including master classes by Francis Roach.
She attended the University of New Hampshire where she performed with the UNH Jazz and Tap Company under the tutelage of Gay Nardone. While at the university she furthered her dance education by studying Fosse style with Jack Hayes as well as working with contemporary and modern dance artists from Susan Marshall Dance Company, Ronald K. Brown of Evidence Dance Company and Brian Simerson of MOMIX. During this time she discovered a passion for choreography, creating works for student showcases and choreographing a production of Stephen Sondheim's Company. She graduated magna cum laude from UNH in 2005 with a B.A. in Theatre, emphasis in Youth Drama and a minor in Dance.
After graduation, Soucy taught, choreographed and performed for Ballet New England in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
