Meghan Whitten, who joined NDC as an apprentice in 2009, hails from Seattle, Washington, where she began her dance training at the age of seven. In 2002 she moved from Seatte to Maine, where she continued her dance training at the Konservatoriet Dance Studio in Alfred ME, and Ballet New England, Portsmouth, NH. She has had the opportunity to perform with Ballet New England, Vivid Motion, and Maine State Ballet. She has studied with Brian Simerson of MOMIX, Ronald K. Brown of Evidence Dance Company, and members of Pilobolus. Meghan is also an aspiring choreographer. Her choreography has been presented at New Hampshire venues including Dance Rochester!, Dover Kids Fest, BNE's Culmination and Student Showcase performances. Most recently, she worked with BlackBox Theatre Productions choreographing "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown". She currently teaches and choreographs in the Seacoast area. Ms. Whitten was promoted to company member in 2010.
