Neoteric Dance Collaborative was founded in 2004 by Sarah Cost as a side project to accompany her dance studies at the University of New Hampshire. At that time, the project’s the initial goal was to encourage the artistic development of new choreographers and young, pre-professional dancers by providing a laboratory environment that was conducive to collaboration and creativity.
The inaugural company included a mix of fourteen dancers and choreographers.
Their debut show Neo-Pop! was a sellout.
In 2009, NDC relocated our home base out of New Hampshire and into the Boston area. This transitional period marked a time of creative growth and NDC's busiest performance season yet. The company performed three new short works and appeared in four festivals: Dance Rochester (NH), Dance for
World Community Festival (Boston, MA), IndepenDance (City Center Studios, NYC, NY) and Maine State Ballet’s Choreography Showcase (Portland, ME).
Today NDC continues to be active within the Boston dance community and beyond.
